Welcome to my adventure

I love the idea of being the heroine AND the author of my own story. What adventures will I have? What things will I learn along the way? What people will I meet? Mostly, when I look back on my life I want to say that it was truly a life well lived.

Like all good adventures, there are always plans, but then things happen, and our heroes often end up wandering a bit. It is in those moments that the greatest lessons are learnt and the most character building happens. I want to share my wandering moments with you. And I hope you will share your moments with me.

1. How do you homeschool?

I focus on the one thing that is most important to me – that my children have faith and a relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything else falls into place.

3. Where is your favorite place to visit?

After my last road trip, Glacier National Park is my new favorite national park. If I am staying closer to home, I love traveling to the beach for the weekend.

2. How do you do road trips alone with your kids?

It’s not easy, but I’ve only gone on road trips with my kids when my older kids were teenagers. So, although, yes it would be easier if my husband were available to come, I’ve always had 1-2 older kids who could help with a lot.

4. What is your favorite book?

This is a tough one. Some of my favorites are Emma and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I also love Les Misérables but Victor Hugo, and The Count of Monte Cristo By Alexedre Dumas.
